What is the Student parliament (stupa)?

The Students' Parliament of the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz is the Parliament of the constituted student body. The elections are held every year in May or June.

Who is attending?

The StuPa consists of 35 members who are elected through lists. Here you can see which members are currently in the parliament. The executive committee manages the sessions.

What are we doing?

The StuPa makes important decisions that affect all students of the University of Mainz. The StuPa also elects and controls the political members of the student union (AStA). The StuPa decides the budget and forms working groups on important issues, such as data secruity. The StuPa also forms committees, which represent marginalized groups in the students body.
